IIA Alternative Scenarios - Strategic Extension Considered

The IIA reveals that Scenario 6 considered a strategic extension north and south of North Cerney:

"Strategic extension north and south of North Cerney" was assessed as one potential option for meeting 100% housing need - ultimately rejected.

Source: IIA Report, Table 2.5

This option would have represented 960 homes - a complete transformation of this tiny village. The current windfall-only approach avoids this outcome.

How to use this evidence

Reference "Settlement Role & Function Study" for the relatively high service score (8.3) which may explain why strategic extension was considered. The IIA Report shows this option was rejected - you can cite this to support maintaining the current approach.
